Exclusive staffing relationship
Wrong Fuel Rescue is one of Australia's leading misfuelling specialists. Founder and owner Yan Van de Velde had already built a successful national operation with remote capability and around-the-clock customer support.
The next opportunity was to lift conversion, create a more dependable 24-hour workforce model and continue raising reliability and professionalism through stronger training and consistent support.
Staff Connect Director Villar David worked with Yan to understand the operation before proposing a deliberately measured approach. The partnership launched in October 2025 with four support staff focused primarily on strengthening WFR's after-hours operation.
Introduce a focused team into a clearly defined part of the operation.
Recruit carefully and establish training, systems and support from the beginning.
Let measurable performance determine the pace of expansion.
The project went beyond placement. Staff Connect recruited from large candidate pools, progressively shortlisted and assessed candidates, then created the WFR-specific environment required for them to succeed together.
Across the eight established dispatchers included in the supplied August 2026 results, the team handled 456 qualified opportunities and converted 422 sales.
92.5%
Against WFR's historical overall average of approximately 75%, that is an improvement of 17.5 percentage points, or approximately 23.4% relative improvement in conversion rate. Six of eight established dispatchers achieved above 90% conversion.
Greater workforce stability, structured onboarding and ongoing support strengthened WFR's ability to maintain consistent coverage as the business grew.
Across eight established dispatchers in the supplied August results, 422 of 456 qualified opportunities converted, a weighted conversion rate of 92.5%.
Staff Connect took responsibility for recruitment, training, development and performance support, allowing WFR leadership to focus more attention on strategy and growth.
“Staff Connect has been instrumental in helping us build a reliable offshore team that supports our operations around the clock. Their people are professional, well-trained, and genuinely care about delivering great service.”
